The PageManager web site wasn't terribly helpful.Windows 8.1 is the name of the latest release of Microsoft Windows, the consumer version of which was launched on 18th October 2013. I'm not sure if this is a Snow Leopard issue or not. The MP navigator program can perform OCR but apparently only with Omnipage because when I try it says that Omnipage is not installed. I tried again and the icon briefly appears in my bar and then disappears. I left the room as it was searching for this and when I returned the program had not opened. First time I tried to open it I got an error message saying it needed to find a component called Rosetta. While trying to sort things out I found that the other scanning program that came with this set up - Omnipage for Optical Character Recognition is also not behaving normally. This program is much more limited than page manager. Scanned some documents without any trouble. I found some other software that came with the scanner (MP Navigator 2.2) and it works fine. Occasionally it will sound like it is starting to scan the image and then abruptly says that PageManager has closed unexpectedly. I've tried reloading the software without success. I've left it like that for over 10min with no changes. ![]() The scanner starts doing something and then it says not to open the lid because it is calibrating. I can open the software and get to the point where it previews the image. I initially thought the problem was with the scanner. ![]() My printer/scanner is a Canon MP530 that I purchased from Apple with my MBP and the PageManager software came with it. ![]() This summer (probably prior to upgrading my OS) I used Presto PageManager 7.15.16 to scan some documents without difficulty. I have a MBP circa 2005 with Snow Leopard.
